SOMNATH N. NAIR, M.D., specializes in Neurological Surgery in the areas of spinal disorders, particularly in the elderly, pituitary, brain and spinal tumors, deep brain stimulation, trigeminal neuralgia, brain and spinal trauma, compression fractures of the spine and peripheral nerve disorders.

Dr. Nair is certified with the American Board of Neurological surgery. He received his medical education from Grant Medical College, at Bombay University. He received his advanced training in neurological surgery at the University of Rochester, NY and Emory University, GA. Dr. Nair was associate professor and acting chief of the Division of Neurosurgery at the Medical college of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has published several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles pertaining to neurological surgery.
